Privacy Statement

BCC views the trust of its clients as its most precious asset.  BCC understands and appreciates the need for privacy.  Our highest priority is protecting the bank's privacy and safeguarding personal and financial information.

Information Collected by BCC

The information we collect directly from our clients includes information required to communicate with the client, such as names, mailing addresses, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, e-mail addresses, and fax numbers.

To satisfy state insurable interest laws, to accommodate underwriting requirements of the BOLI Carriers, and to assist in the design of the BOLI, we may also collect personal financial information.

We may also collect data from visitors to our website.  The information we collect indirectly includes IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, browser types, operating systems, ISPs, time stamps, transactions placed, products or services used before and following the view of the website, and banner ads clicked on.  We do this through cookies, which help us provide operational data to aid the visitor's interaction with our website and improve its navigation and usability.

BCC may also collect the information we receive from affiliates or business partners.

How do we use the nonpublic information we obtain?

We use nonpublic information only as appropriate to provide our clients with quality service and total security.  We use demographic information provided by others on our clients so that we can develop products and services for our clients.  We may disclose any portion of the information we obtain to affiliates, companies, or individuals that perform services germane to the bank's BOLI acquisition.  Such includes disclosure of information to insurance companies, securities brokers/dealers, rabbi trustees, insurance agents, accountants, and attorneys engaged by either the bank or the directors/executives.

In the post-BOLI acquisition environment, BCC may also disclose any portion of the information we obtain to companies or individuals that perform services for us or on our behalf, such as independent contractors or technical system consultants who program our software or to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf.  We reserve the right to disclose any nonpublic information we obtain where required by law to regulatory, law enforcement, or other government authorities.

Since the foundation of our Privacy Statement is the commitment to keep our client's personal information confidential, BCC does not sell, license, lease, or otherwise disclose your information to any third party for any reason except as noted immediately above.

What do we do to protect the information we obtain?

We restrict access to nonpublic information about current and former clients to authorized individuals that need the information to provide such clients' products or services.  Outside companies and independent contractors who provide us services or with whom we have entered a joint marketing agreement should execute agreements protecting the confidentiality of any client information we disclose and restricting the use of such information for only those limited and necessary purposes.   BCC maintains appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect our obtained information.
